With nine years of banking experience
— as teller, platform (loan) officer, and branch manager— Kathy
has been instrumental in coordinating copywriting assignments
with design, printing, broadcasting, media, and online tech professionals.
During her nine years in the wholesale food distribution
business as general manager with a leading New
York regional distributor, she was responsible for purchasing
many millions of dollars worth of food and foodservice products
for restaurants, hospitals, schools, colleges, and correctional
institutions.
She streamlined the company’s delivery scheduling, fleet management,
individual account management (e.g., Rutgers University, North
Brunswick School System, etc.), warehousing and inventory management,
and day-to-day cash management.
As TheWriterWorks Chief Financial and Chief Operating
Officer since 1989, Kathy has provided a full range
of writing services administrative and marketing production functions.
In addition to running TheWriterWorks office support services,
and arranging all on-call, independent contractor services (including
the use of outside consultants, designers, print production and
website development techs), she coordinated, introduced and revitalized
client operational system needs for both startup and expansion
projects, and served as media liaison for client public and industry
relations programs.
